Cerrudo Services was prime contractor for the design and installation of a 3,750 SF pre-engineered metal shed structure on the north side of Warehouse 57-1 at Defense Depot San Joaquin.
The structure has fully operational lighting with occupancy sensors, speaker / strobes, sprinkler system with new riser for Type II construction storing ordinary combustibles and weatherproof receptacles for power and telecommunications. The structure’s siding and roof panels are 26 gauge steel with a roof slope of ¼” per foot, with gutters, downspouts and skylights. The structure is not attached to the existing warehouse; an expansion joint separates the two at the upper roof edge.
Fire sprinklers, electrical and data are originating within the occupied warehouse. Piping, conduit and cable trays were installed within the warehouse to termination points at the north wall where they penetrate the exterior concrete panel. The wall was X-rayed to confirm the location of the steel before drilling through the wall.
