Cerrudo Services was prime contractor for the design and construction of a standalone 2,860 SF Band Room within the existing Patton Drill Hall in Bell CA. The rehearsal hall is an open space with an 18’H acoustical tile ceiling, acoustical panels mounted on the walls and carpet tile flooring. In addition there is a storage room and three individual relocatable music practice rooms.
The new partitions were required to meet an acoustical value of 56 STC to isolate the sound and vibrations from the practice rooms and rehearsal room to the adjacent offices. The space was designed to support optimal reverberation times for musical performances at mid-range frequencies (500-1000 HZ).
New roof top HVAC units were installed to service the rehearsal hall and the three practice rooms. Each practice room has a separate, individually controlled HVAC unit with dedicated outside air. The contract included the installation of a fully functional fire alarm and mass notification system throughout the two story 40,000 SF building as well as the new Band Room.
